Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a welcome guide with everything you need to know — what to wear, where to go, how long to allow, what to bring. I take care of the rest.

A reminder lands in your inbox 48 hours before your session, so nothing slips through the cracks.

The session itself

Relaxed, Guided, Enjoyable

Most clients tell me they forgot they were being photographed. That is the goal.

I will guide you through everything — where to stand, how to hold yourself, where to look. You do not need to know how to pose. You just need to show up. Most of the best shots happen in the in-between moments, when you are relaxed and being yourself.

We go at your pace. There is no clock. If you need a moment, we take a moment.

Within 48 hours

Your Sneak Peek

Within 48 hours of your session, you will receive a small selection of edited preview images — just to take the edge off the wait. These are fully edited, gallery-quality images, not rough previews.

Your full gallery follows on schedule — 7, 10, or 14 days depending on your package tier.

Your full gallery arrives in your inbox via a private, password-protected link. Every image is fully edited and ready to download in high resolution.

The gallery is yours — download everything, share privately with family, and keep them forever. There is no pressure to order anything. If you ever want prints or a photobook down the line, just get in touch and I will point you in the right direction.

A few days after delivery, I will drop you a short note to make sure you are happy. Two weeks later, if you enjoyed the experience, a Google review means the world to a small business — it takes less than a minute.

After that, you will only hear from me if there is a promotion worth telling you about, or if it is your shoot anniversary and I want to say hello.

Common Questions

What should I wear?

Wear something that makes you feel like yourself — comfortable and confident. If you have had something specially made for the occasion, wear it with pride — this is exactly the right moment for it.

For everyday outfits: avoid large logos or very busy patterns. Neutral or complementary colours work well for groups. Flowing fabrics photograph beautifully for maternity and portrait sessions.

If you are unsure, bring a change of outfit — variety gives you more options in the edit. I will include detailed outfit guidance tailored to your session type in your welcome email once you are booked.

What if I am nervous in front of the camera?

Almost everyone says this — and almost everyone forgets about the camera within five minutes. I will keep conversation going, guide your movement, and work with your natural energy. The best shots rarely come from posing — they come from a genuine laugh or a quiet in-between moment.

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely. Partners, children, and friends are always welcome. For Gold and Platinum packages, family and partners are included. For Onyx, additional people can usually be accommodated — just let me know when booking.

What happens if the weather is bad?

For outdoor sessions, I will monitor the forecast and be in touch 48 hours before. We can reschedule at no extra cost, move indoors, or embrace the moody weather — some of the best shots happen in overcast conditions when the light is soft and even.

How does the deposit work?

Your deposit secures your date and comes off your total. The remaining balance is due no later than 48 hours before your session — not after. This ensures both of us can focus entirely on the shoot itself, rather than any financial admin afterwards.

You will receive a balance invoice automatically once your deposit is confirmed, with clear payment instructions and a due date. Sessions will only proceed once full payment has been received.

Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your session, but can be transferred to a new date with reasonable notice.

How many photos will I receive?

This depends on your package tier — from 20 images on Onyx up to 50 on Platinum for session packages, and 80–300+ for wedding and commercial packages. You will receive at least the number stated. Every image is fully edited before delivery.

Do you travel outside Northamptonshire?

Yes. Travel within 30 miles of Rushden is included in all packages. Beyond that, a travel supplement applies based on distance — calculated at a standard mileage rate.

For longer distances, a minimum booking value may apply to ensure the journey is worthwhile for both of us. For example, a destination shoot in another county would typically require at least a Gold package. This is always discussed and agreed upfront — no surprises.
